I don't know, and I'm confident that it's impossible to know, as not all
code that embeds or uses perl is open source, let alone findable by search
engines.
Doing this feels "wrong" to me, in the same way that merging some changes
to a maint branch feels wrong, even though they don't break binary
compatibility, or change anything that anyone should be relying on.
But this feels "wrong" at the whole level of still calling it "Perl 5"
