Just as a point of caution: We can't "promise" a release date for a
stable version.  The Pumpking can set a date for a feature freeze.
We can reasonably promise a date for RC0.  After that, it's a matter of
how well we fix and find bugs.

I expect to have something useful to say on this topic this weekend.
