Hi all!
Please read (in order) the following cross-thread posts:
* http://xrl.us/begkuz (link to the Modern Perl blog)
* http://community.livejournal.com/shlomif_tech/22145.html
* http://use.perl.org/~chromatic/journal/38498
In essence, chromatic complained about how bad the File::Find API was, and
then I said that I've been contributing to a rewrite (File-Find-Object) that
solves its major philosophical problems, and that there are other future or
present alternatives. In my blog post, I suggested that we ship an alternative
to File-Find in the perl 5 distribution or (alternatively) that we noticeably
refer the people who read the File::Find manual page to alternatives.
Then chromatic said "That's not what I meant" and that he doesn't want us to
bloat the perl 5 core with non-essential modules.
What do you think?
Regards,
Shlomi Fish

<mauke> I'm not interested in what you're doing; what are you trying to
achieve?
<PerlJam> mauke: I'm trying to achieve world peace and this regex is
the last thing standing in my way! ;)
