I shall have replied before -- I remember finding this patch good to apply.
However, given that you used git to produce the patches, I wanted to
wait for perl's master source repository to be under git before
applying the patches -- a process slightly more trivial with git than
with perforce. And the SCM change is taking a bit longer than
expected, in application of Hofstadter's law.
