Problems with RT may have reduced the service level on your modules at
first, but you need not live with it if you don't want.
Nothing is stopping you from moving to another bug tracking system.
ack and WWW::Mechanize, for example, are entirely hosted on Google
Code, including Subversion and issue tracking. The search.cpan.org
pages point to the appropriate locations because of modifications in
my repo. See how http://search.cpan.org/dist/ack/ points to http://code.google.com/p/ack/issues/list
in the "View/Report Bugs" link.
I think we're pretty much tied to RT for the foreseeable future as far
as Perl 5 bug tracking, but no such shackles need exist for your CPAN
modules, unless you want them to.
