This is a bug report for perl from .lmai@web.de,
generated with the help of perlbug 1.34 running under perl v5.8.0.

Greetings!
perl -wle "print prototype 'CORE::shift'"
prints \@, which is wrong because shift() can be used without arguments.
pop() has the same problems.
