Filters::decrypt broken with 11598

Somewhere between 5.7.2 and 11598 the line below from Filters/decrypt.xs
stopped working.

    if (!isALPHA(SvPV(GvSV(CvFILEGV(cv)), na)[0]))

It now complains about an "unterminated macro call". Anyone know what has
changed?

ps the line is testing if decrypt.xs is running as a dynamically linked
module.
