If you meant the imagination involved here to be yours (as indicated,
but not unambiguously, by the opening of the sentence), I suspect the
stretching going on relates to an argument's natural hyperbolic curves.
Alternatively, my imagination's plasticity coefficient is other worldly.
Seriously, I'm intrigued. What do you think each would mean with its
LHS in list context?
