I would just like to say that I held that view for many years, as
some more than others (Chip) knows all to well :)

However there are times when modules need to be added. I have been
hounded for years by many (p5pers and others) to include linet into
the core distribution.

I resisted, and the pumkings respected those wishes.

However now my view has changed (I will not go into why) and so
Jarkko has included libnet into 5.7.2.

At the same time I now wish that I had let it stay in when Chip
first added it back in 5.004, but as they say that is history.
