I havn't had a chance to digest these fully, but here are the results of
running Purify over the testsuite. A couple of tests humg and had to be
killed - mainly those that used pipes. I've attached 2 versions of the
report, the first with all the violation messages in, and the second
excluding any that have S_eval in the stack frame, as eval{} is
well-known to leak.
