  rationale:

    Emacs::PDE, which old name PDE, is a collection of emacs lisp
    extension and configuration for perl programming using Emacs. The
    goal of Emacs::PDE is to provide complete develop environment in
    emacs, for example smart compile and run command, auto-insert
    template for new file, integration of perldoc, perltidy and
    perlcritic, regexp builder, abbrev and snippet, interactive perl
    shell, and other useful commands.
