Re: Failed: PAUSE indexer report JKEGL/Parse-Marpa-0.208000.tar.gz

I got the following, apparently caused by Parse::Marpa 0.208000  
failing a new check.  I am not sure whether to regard this as a  
problem with my module, or with the new check.  This new check does  
not seem to be being applied to developer's versions, just to  
released versions.

I have only been defining VERSION for the highest level module,  
Parse::Marpa.  The other modules and packages are not independent and  
I have not been separately versioning them.  Should I?

If I should add VERSION information to these other packages, how does  
CPAN determine VERSION?  By a lexical examination of the files, which  
requires a VERSION line in a specific form, as MakeMaker does?  Or  
some other way?
