  rationale:

    The standard computer text file for chess games is kept in a format
    called PGN (Portable Game Notation). EPD (Extended position
    Description) is and aspect of the PGN standard. Chess::PGN is an
    existing element of the CPAN namespace therefore Chess::PGN::EPD
    seems a reasonable designation for the module. I know of no other
    module with this capacity.
