access to jaguar addressbook?

Hello,

Is there a way to access the information in the jaguar addressbook?  I would like to be able to extract info from the addressbook and save it in a database so that I can, from time to time, combine it with similar address info from my linux mailer's addressbook, which I can read.  Then, of course, I'd like to be able to update the addressbook from the db.

Could someone please point me in the direction of what I need to know to do this.

I know about AddressBookExporter (vcards -> tab-delimited file) but I'd rather do it from a perl script, if possible.
