The Director of Technical Operations is responsible for managing the daily technical operations of Perl application development including integrating offshore development activities, managing code deployments, and coordinating and improving all operational tasks (all done in perl of course). Required skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable Experience in Perl development Experience in Subversion Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective interpersonal and communications skills; strong mentoring abilities for teamwork and interdepartmental communications Experience in Postgresql Experience with Agile development Desired skills: Experience with managing offshore development and IT tasks. Experience with cloud-based solutions, SaaS Experience in Javascript (libraries like Prototype, jQuery, dojo) Previous experience mentoring junior level staff as well as project management experience.
