Job title: Web Software Engineer (OO Perl) Media/Publishing

Location: New York, NY, United States

Pay rate: $50-$75/hr

Terms of employment: Independent contractor (hourly)

Length of employment: 3 months+ possible extension

Hours: Full time

Description:
Leading international media, publishing, and entertainment firm located in
Manhattan has an immediate opening for a strong Perl Developer. Qualified
candidates must have approximately 3+ years of experience developing
software applications and tools with Perl, OO Perl, Linux/Unix, and MySQL
or PostgreSQL. Any additional experience with AJAX, HTML Template, Template
Toolkit, Mason, and Apache are all pluses. BSCS or equivalent is required. 


The Developer will participate in full life-cycle development of
enterprise-level software products, tool sets, and web applications. Must
demonstrate excellent communication skills and have the ability to work in
a team environment. Position includes competitive salary, great benefits,
