Working in its vibrant head office you will consider yourself a problem solver who enjoys a flexible working environment and strong team culture. The role of Perl Developer brings with it a number of challenging responsibilities and activities. Core to this role will be to make a deep impact in the New Development, Continuous Enhancement and Implementation of the company’s leading edge platforms and applications, utilising high level OO Perl Development techniques on UNIX platforms within an Agile environment. Further responsibilities will also include: • Ensuring delivery of long term project work and task based incremental improvements • Contributing to the quality of delivery including the development, integration, test and release infrastructure • Work with 3rd Party Suppliers to ensure that software is efficiently implemented • Contributing to technical consultancy and advice to the technical and management teams as required Required skills: The ideal candidate will have the following key skills and experience: • High level of application development using object oriented Perl on Unix platforms • Particular knowledge of Linux, Apache, MySQL or other widely used SQL database product • Demonstrate understanding of emerging LAMP technologies • Experience in an Agile Development environment • Excellent communication and leadership skills Website for more information: http://www.blueglue.eu/job_detail.php?jid=1287 Contact information at: http://jobs.perl.org/job/14402#contact
