Required skills: Experience developing in an OO language. 2 years sound experience in OO software engineering that can be transferred to a Perl environment. Excellent communication (written and oral) with personnel at a variety of levels. Excellent team working and interpersonal skills. Strong problem solving skills. Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines whilst dealing with conflicting demands. Ability to pick up new skills quickly and apply them appropriately. Self motivated & enthusiastic. Desired skills: Experience of XML services and schemas. Understanding and experience developing for n-tier and middleware systems. Experience developing database driven applications - ANSI SQL. Experience developing with Perl. Some experience of Apache and Linux. Basic knowledge of Java.
