Description:
CNET Content Solutions, a division of CBS Interactive, seeks to provide an
environment where overachieving individuals perform together to deliver
great customer focused software. Focusing on Commitment, Innovation,
Quality and Urgency; CCS Engineers work together within an Agile product
delivery framework to deliver market leading tools and systems. The
Software Engineer will work under the direction of the Technical Team
Leader and the Engineering Manager to convert existing features in the
market leading ChannelOnline product into a modern web framework.

Crucial to the position will be an ability to understand and document
existing features, validate use cases for the feature and implement the
feature into the new framework. Additionally, the candidate will utilize
extensive experience utilizing PERL as a web development toolset to fully
understand existing features, extend the existing framework during the
transition period and drive feature conversion into the new framework.

Required skills:
* BS or MS in computer science or equivalent training and experience.
* Expertise using PERL to deliver web centric applications.
* Technical analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills
* Has a propensity to adapt to many different facets of software
development quickly and efficiently
* Strong desire to learn new technologies and techniques
* Knowledge of web development techniques using HTML, CSS, and Javascript
* Solid organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
* Ability to establish professional relationships with team members
* Superior written and verbal communication skills
* Must successfully pass a background check
