Candidate must be able to research, discover and propose new technologies or concepts that will benefit the overall product base or site. Candidate must be able to execute development of prototypes and proof of concept projects providing detailed results and conclusions. * Develop new programs as well as enhance existing systems * Analyze system behaviors for performance or process improvements * Propose and research new products to improve efficiency and costs * Execute proof of concepts and provide result analysis * Work with different groups (e.g. IT systems, DBAs, Operations) * Take on new software languages as needed Required skills: * 1-3+ yrs knowledge and experience in software development * 1-3+ yrs programming knowledge in one or more of these languages; Perl, Java, J2EE, C, C++ Desired skills: Preferences * Ability to work independently * Deep understanding Unix operating systems * Knowledge in smart phone application development * GUI development * Fast learner with the ability and desire to learn new concepts All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
