Description:
One of the UK’s most respected e-commerce businesses is seeking a Senior
Perl Contractor to join its rapidly growing team in London. Working in its
vibrant head office you will be joining this market leading online
entertainment company, helping to drive the business forwards throughout
the exciting times ahead.

As a Senior Perl Developer, your key objective will be implementing and
maintaining existing and new products and services across their Video On
Demand platforms. 
Further core responsibilities will include taking a lead role in
programming, contributing to the quality of delivery including the
development, integration, test and release infrastructure and taking part
in technical consultancy with the technical and management teams.

Required skills:
Key skills include: 

• Strong application development skills and experience using object
oriented Perl on Unix platforms 
• Particular knowledge of Linux, Apache, MySQL or other widely used SQL
database product 
• SQL Scripting and Writing SQL code 
• Experience of Select Statements and Database Joins 
• Demonstrate understanding of emerging LAMP technologies 
• Excellent communication skills
