Perl Technical Lead (Perl), London

A Perl Technical Lead is required by our client in London in order to line
manage a team of Perl/MySQL development staff to implement and maintain
existing and new products and services across all business platforms

As a Perl Technical Lead you will be joining our client, one of the most
rapidly growing and well-known brands in Europe to head up their Digital
Development Team. Currently one of the most visited entertainment sites in
the UK, you will be joining the business as a Perl Technical Lead at a
critical time and greatly contribute to their growth and success. 

Core responsibilities as a Perl Technical Lead will include:

•	Liaising with non-technical business staff to assess the nature and
impact of future work
•	Prioritise and allocate development duties across your team
•	Being involved in the hands on technical implementation of work
•	To work with 3rd Party Suppliers to ensure that software is
efficiently implemented
•	To provide regular reports to the Developments Manager on the
status of team activity

Required skills:
Essential skills include:

•	5 years+ application development using OO Perl on Unix platforms
•	Particular knowledge of Linux, Apache, MySQL or other widely used
SQL database product
•	Demonstrate understanding of emerging LAMP technologies
•	Some experience of managing/leading technical teams with a focus on
timely completion of quality deliverables
•	Excellent communication skills
