Reporting to the Development team manager and, ultimately, to senior management, the job will provide a seasoned developer with a range of challenges working on both our existing market leading products as well as working on a range of new projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven developer to challenge their existing skills within a dynamic, fast paced, goal driven environment. Applicants would be exposed to all parts of the development cycle from initial specification through implementation and into testing and final delivery. They will be responsible for resolving issues with current client software as well as developing and testing our core products. Applicants should possess good communication skills and would be expected to contribute on all levels within both the development environment and the company as a whole. They would be capable of communicating technically complex issues to both technical and non-technical clients and colleagues and would be proactive in suggesting improvements in methodology and general team practice. A keen, technically enquiring mind and an ability to pick up and understand a variety of complex technical processes quickly are key requisites as is the ability to self organise and deal with multiple ongoing issues. This is a permanent position working as part of the technical team whose office is based in Edinburgh. Applicants would ideally be based in the Central Belt in Scotland and must be eligible to work in the UK.
