DIVISIONAL OVERVIEW 
Goldman Sachs’ Strats business unit is a world leader in developing
quantitative and technological techniques to solve complex business
problems. Working side by side with the firm’s trading, sales, banking and
investment management professionals, members of the business unit use their
mathematical and scientific training to create financial products, advise
clients on transactions, measure risk and identify market opportunities.

Core Infrastructure Strats is a global team (NYC/LDN/TKO) whose primary
focus is revenue-generating activities centered on analytics and
technology.  The team is responsible for the Management and design of 3
core technologies for the firm’s risk management and pricing system:
-	The build, deployment and runtime environment for many millions of
lines of C++ / java / python / perl / c#
-	A schedule based cross platform distributed computing system
-	An on demand cross platform distributed computing system

Required skills:
Required Skills:
-	Highly knowledgeable in Perl or Python, ideally both
-	Deep theoretical and practical OS skills, in either Unix or Windows

-	Knowledgeable of many other areas of technology (networking,
hardware, etc)

Desired skills:
Desired Skills:
-	Experience at a top tier firm (financial institutions, tech firms)
-	Some systems administration experience
-	BSc / MSc / PhD in relevant field (Comp Sci, Maths, Physics)
-	1-5 years experience in a Software development (Perl preferred)

-	Highly entrepreneurial and motivated
-	Good communication & presentation skills
-	Highly organized
