Description:
Title: Web programming and web automation

We are offering an internship for a programmer, in a Linux environment.
Internship will last at least six months, starting in September 2011 and
with a period of training between May and July 2011.

We are an Internet-based company, started in 1998, which runs and develops
a platform for employment, internshisp as well as studies abroad:
www.iagora.com.

The selected candidate will receive training from mid-May to mid-July, to
be able to start full work around September.

The office space is in Putxet (Barcelona), but the intern will be able to
work from home on occasion. This offer is with a view of full-time
employment at the end of the internship.

Main work areas:

- Automation of web tasks using WWW::Mechanize and similar tools
- Web programming using Linux / Apache / MySQL / Perl


THIS JOB IS ONSITE, REFRAIN FROM APPLYING IF YOU ARE NOT BASED IN
BARCELONA, IF YOU CANNOT MOVE TO BARCELONA OF IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN EU
WORKING PERMIT. SPANISH IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THE JOB.

Required skills:

Required knowledge:

- Basic administration of Linux servers at the command-line
- Good knowledge of Perl 5 programming
- Familiarity with SQL (preferably MySQL)
- Basic HTML and CSS


Desired skills:

A knowledge in any of these areas will also be appreciated:

- JavaScript and AJAX
- use of WWW::Mechanize, BeautifulSoup, Firebug or similar tools
- Capacity to write understandable and maintenable code

related systems (such as PostgreSQL, FreeBSD, Ruby, Python, etc.) , and are
