The successful candidate will have experience building large scale platform infrastructure. S/he will feel comfortable building both a high-transaction API as well as applications that process large amounts of data. This individual has a strong passion for delivering innovative business solutions with the potential for rapid and explosive growth. Responsibilities: • Work with a team of very talented engineers to deliver next-generation technology solutions • Deliver prototype software using rapid Agile development cycles (Scrum, XP) • Work closely with business units to understand and solicit key functional , business, and technical requirements • Participate in code reviews • Work with senior technology leadership team to identify new technologies and industry trends • Select the best platform and technologies available for a specific project • Deliver code to core engineering teams and aid in the smooth integration into existing platforms Required skills: Requirements: • 5+ years in the software industry with an emphasis on internet and web technologies • A master coder. Fluent in multiple programming languages (C++, Perl, Python, Java, Javascript Ruby), platforms, and technologies. • Expert in the full LAMP stack • A self starter with the ability to work well in a team environment • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic environment under tight timelines • Must be willing and able to write clean, organized, and documented code that can be easily handed off to others • Knowledgeable of current technology trends and ability to apply cutting edge technology to practical business problems • Educated on solid software engineering practices and ability to apply them • Expertise in designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems • BS or MS in Computer science or similar engineering degree Desired skills: Ideal Candidate: • Experience in distributing work across a horizontally scalable cluster using frameworks like MapReduce and Hadoop • Has implemented and used a BigData solution like Hbase, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc • Strong math and analytics background • Worked in the web monetization and online advertising space Website for more information: https://home.eease.com/recruit/?id=547370 Contact information at: http://jobs.perl.org/job/13388#contact
