Description:
Nextrials has an immediate opening for a highly-skilled, enthusiastic,
creative, enterprise web application developer who wants to join a
motivated, geographically dispersed, highly-productive Agile team in a
successful San Francisco Bay Area technology company.  

Our award-winning software product, Prism, is a web application for
managing clinical research data.  Prism is currently written using LAMP
technologies.  You will have the opportunity to shape the next generation
of Prism, using whatever technology stack is most appropriate.	You will
also work on our suite of tools, written in Flex with heavy use of XML
technologies including XQuery and XSLT.  The right candidate is experienced
in LAMP and working with heterogeneous technologies.  For details on our

Required skills:
At least 5 years working as a professional developer in a collaborative
team environment
Experience with enterprise architecture design
Experience with OO design and development and domain driven development
Experience building multi-tiered web applications
Object-oriented Perl
Knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies, RIA, SOA, and SAAS
Knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies, RIA and SOA
Strong XML experience (DOM, Schema, XQuery, XSLT)
Enthusiasm, the ability to learn quickly


Desired skills:
Fluency in more than one object-oriented programming languages
Proficiency writing object-oriented Javascript
Experience with Java development
Experienced in Flex application and UI development
Experience with relational/XML databases and data modeling
Test-driven development and unit testing
Experience improving scalability and performance of web applications
Experience working in an Agile environment, especially with a dispersed
team
Knowledge of the EDC, eHealth, eClinical, or eResearch spaces.
