Description:
My Client provides high-end eCommerce solutions for global manufacturers,
distributors and retailers as a fully outsourced technology solution in
which all software, hardware, hosting, bandwidth and ancillary services are
provided for a fixed monthly fee.  The company model delivers “best of the
web” functionality, while limiting technological risks and costs for
clients.  Their on-demand commerce model has been strongly received in the
market, with my client currently operating over 170 sites for major global
clients in the USA, Europe and the UK.	


Required skills:
Role

A key role within a skilled technical team. Critical for the successful
implementation and ongoing improvement of the customers’ e-commerce
solution.
-	The primary objective of this role is to help develop new versions
of the Company product to enhance functionalities, increase performance,
simplify the maintenance, bug fixing and extend integration capabilities
-	Fully understand customer requirements, design and implement
solutions in a generic way, in order to avoid bespoke development and add
value to the Company platform instead
-	To assist other members of the team for the customer e-commerce
implementations
-	Initiative and participation are required to constantly improve
every aspect of the service supplied to external Customers
-	Adopt established processes for a consistent and high quality
implementation and constant improvement of the service

Essential Technical Skills
-	Excellent understanding and experience of technology and
development cycles

-	SQL
-	Concurrent Versions System (CVS)
-	Experience working with Linux


Desirable
-	Experience within the e-commerce industry
-	Educated to degree level
-	Experience in liaising with remote teams
