The company model delivers best of the web functionality, while limiting technological risks and costs for clients. Their on-demand commerce model has been strongly received in the market, with my client currently operating over 170 sites for major global clients in the USA, Europe and the UK. Required skills: Role A key role within a skilled technical team. Critical for the successful implementation and ongoing improvement of the customers e-commerce solution. - The primary objective of this role is to help develop new versions of the Company product to enhance functionalities, increase performance, simplify the maintenance, bug fixing and extend integration capabilities - Fully understand customer requirements, design and implement solutions in a generic way, in order to avoid bespoke development and add value to the Company platform instead - To assist other members of the team for the customer e-commerce implementations - Initiative and participation are required to constantly improve every aspect of the service supplied to external Customers - Adopt established processes for a consistent and high quality implementation and constant improvement of the service Desired skills: Essential Soft Skills - Highly motivated and pro active - Attention to detail - Ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced environment - Ability to automate common tasks Essential Technical Skills - Excellent understanding and experience of technology and development cycles - Object Oriented Perl - Familiarity and experience with architectural issues - Unified Modeling Language (UML) - Apache & mod_perl - SQL - Concurrent Versions System (CVS) - Experience working with Linux Desirable - Experience within the e-commerce industry - Educated to degree level - Experience in liaising with remote teams If you would like to apply for this position, please email james.mills@eurobase-international.com and include your salary expectations.
