Our client was recently named in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 companies.
The role involves the redevelopment of their core e-commerce platform via
distinct projects. 
Working alongside some of the most experienced and respected Perl experts
within the industry this job is a genuine Perl developers dream.

A key role within a skilled technical team:

•	The primary objective of this role is to help develop new versions
of the client’s product to enhance functionalities, increase performance,
simplify the maintenance, bug fixing and extend integration capabilities.
•	Fully understand customer requirements, design and implement
solutions in a generic way, in order to avoid bespoke development but
adding value to the platform instead
•	To assist other members of the team for the customer e-commerce
implementations
•	Initiative and participation are required to constantly improve
every aspect of the service supplied.
•	Adopt established processes for a consistent and high quality
implementation and constant improvement of the service


Required skills:
•	Excellent understanding and experience of technology and
development cycles
•	Object Oriented Perl
•	Familiarity and experience with architectural issues
•	Unified Modeling Language (UML)
•	Apache & mod_perl
•	SQL
•	Concurrent Versions System (CVS)
•	Experience working with Linux


Desired skills:
•	Experience within the e-commerce industry
•	Educated to degree level
•	Experience in liaising with remote teams
