hello, perl-gedcom!

I'm trying to design a WWW social networking site and would like to be
able to model relationships between people, including genealogical
relationships.  STFW, I came across Gedcom.pm and this mailing list.


Following the subscription instructions for this mailing list given on
the following page resulted in a failure message from MAILER-DAEMON (at)
icomm (dot) ca:

    http://lists.cpan.org/showlist.cgi?name=Perl-GEDCOM

I am attempting to contact the webmaster.


I successfully followed the subscription instructions on the following
page:

    http://www.miskatonic.org/pg/

The page states:

    There are no archives online right now, but that may change.

STFW, I found this:

    http://www.mail-archive.com/perl-gedcom@perl.org/maillist.html


Gedcom.pm provides the following link to the GEDCOM 5.5 specification:

     ftp://gedcom.org/pub/genealogy/gedcom/gedcom55.zip

But, gedcom.org seems to be down.  I can't seem to find the file via
archive.org or google.com.  Does anybody have a link to the current
GEDCOM specification/ standard/ documentation?
