Thanks for the offer. I think I'm unofficially sort-of leading the (not
yet happening at the moment) development of books.perl.org, which means
I'm really not doing much at all. Basically, I started a discussion on
use Perl a while back (use.perl.org) which you may have read.

I am a bit over-committed to projects at the moment but once I wrap up a
few of the ones I'm currently working I'm hoping to get to the books site.
My plan (such as it is) is to use Mason and Alzabo
(alzabo.sourceforge.net) as my basic tools. For user auth/info, I'm
hoping that books.perl.org will be able to get info from the use Perl
database via some sort of API-over-HTTP that will have to be worked out
with Chris Nandor. Probably some sort of SOAP-ish thing, I'd think. That
will give us the rich user info on use Perl (particularly the friend/foe
lists) which will be useful for the book site.

So what kind of stuff would you like to do? Web design, programming,
database design?

I have a reasonable idea for the latter and obviously some ideas for the
second topic. I can't design worth squat so help in that area is
definitely needed.
