What kind of password form ?
- shell
- password window by tk
- remote access like telnet
- browser
(secure, insecure transmission)
- ...
How do you want to open a URL ?
- get the html page as text from this url
- open a browser to show the url to a user
- show it in the browser of the user, where he filled the form
- send something to the URL
- ...
